Fotografei este look no mês passado e só há dias quando olhei de novo para as fotos me apercebi que o cenário é bem idêntico ao das fotos do último Jo's Co com o Fábio. Na verdade este sítio é bem distante do outro. Neste dia as fotos não iam ser tiradas ali, estava perto da praia e a ideia era fotografar por lá, mas a golden hour estava mesmo on point e com medo de desperdiçar a luz encostamos o carro junto a este muro com trepadeira e fotografamos. Foi uma decisão um pouco impulsiva mas talvez por isso mesmo tenha resultado. Agora que penso talvez inconscientemente tenha escolhido um lugar "seguro", semelhante aquele onde costumo fotografar. E tudo isto para dizer que este look é também daqueles seguros, sem pensar, mas ainda assim sem complicações, e que resultam sempre bem. Looks all black, básicos, com um ou outro detalhe a destacar, não têm por onde falhar! Vocês sabem que sou fã! Ah, e babem lá para cima deste blazer que foi só das melhores pechinchas dos últimos saldos! Adoro-o!

I photographed this look last month and only days ago when I looked at the photos again I realized that the scene is very similar to the photos of the last Jo's Co with Fábio. In fact, this place is very far from the other. On this day the photos were not going to be taken there, it was near the beach and the idea was to photograph there, but the golden hour was right on point and afraid to waste the light we leaned the car next to this wall with vine and photograph. It was a bit of an impulsive decision, but maybe it worked. Now that I think I may have unconsciously chosen a "safe" place, similar to the one where I usually photograph. And all this to say that this look is also one of those safe, without thinking, but still uncomplicated, and that always work well. All black looks, basic, with one or another detail to highlight, have nowhere to fail! You know I'm a fan! Oh, and step right up to this blazer that was just one of the best bargains out of the last balances! I love it!

Jo's Co #12

E de repente já estamos no fim de Abril, e de repente também a rubrica Jo's Co já tem um ano! Sim!! Parece que começamos há dias mas esta é já a 12ª publicação desta rubrica.

Hoje trago-vos o Fábio, é meu primo e como não podia deixar de ser é um vaidoso. Combinei com ele estas fotos assim meio a correr, porque na verdade tenho andado com pouco tempo... mas não queria falhar a rubrica aqui no blog. Foi tudo em cima do joelho mas eu sabia que ia resultar bem! Ele ainda me perguntou "Ok, mas o que é que eu visto?" e eu só lhe respondi "O normal, o que costumas usar!". E foi assim mesmo, look básico, de camisa, jeans e sapatilhas não tem como errar. E acho isto tão válido para homem como para mulher. Depois é só jogar com os acessórios e está feito. Este look é a prova que com pouco conseguimos estar lindamente. Eu sei que estou sempre a dizer isto, e que vocês até já devem estar cansados, mas é mesmo verdade, less is more!! Espero que gostem!*

And suddenly it's the end of April, and suddenly too Jo's Co is already a year old! Yes!! It seems that we started days ago but this is the 12th publication of this line.
Today I bring you Fábio, he is my cousin and how couldn't stop being he is a vain. I combined these photos with him really quickly, because I've actually been with bit time to blog... but I did not want to miss the rubric here. It was all over the knee but I knew it would work out! He still asked me "Okay, but what did I wear?" and I just replied "The normal, what you usually use!". And it was so, basic look, shirt, jeans and sneakers can't go wrong. And I find this just as valid for a man as for a woman. Then just play with the accessories and you're done. This look is the proof that with little we can be beautifully. I know I'm always saying this, and you guys must be tired, but it's true, less is more!! Hope you like it!*

Cold spring

Não sei se partilham do mesmo gosto que eu, mas após os saldos o que eu gosto mesmo mesmo é que o frio continue para conseguir usar toda a roupa quentinha que comprei! Não me matem já os summer lovers, primeiro porque eu adoro o calor também, e além disso isto acontece igual aquando dos saldos de verão! Quero sempre que a estação se prolongue para eu conseguir usar tudo o que comprei. Por isso não me venham já com looks todos frescos e primaveris porque nem está assim tanto calor! E eu bem sei que a malta se veste desse jeito mas só para as fotos, naquela horinha em que o sol está alto, porque na verdade no fim do dia continua a saber muito bem usar as camisolas quentes, os casacos grandes e as botas de inverno. Por aqui é assim, e até ser realmente primavera vai continuar a ser, por isso é normal repetir looks, tal como este, que usei no jantar de natal da empresa mas não tinha fotografado ainda. Na verdade já estava em falta, este vestido veio da Black Friday. Encontrei-o na Mango Outlet e é mesmo fofo! Adoro usa-lo assim, com camisa por baixo e pronto, fica o look feito! Gostam?

I don't know if you share the same taste as me, but after the balances what I really like is that the cold continue to be able to wear all the warm clothes I bought! Don't kill me summer lovers, first because I love the heat too, and besides this, happens the same during the summer balances! I always want the season to last so I can use everything I bought. So don't come with all fresh and spring looks because it's not so hot! And I know that people dresses this way but only for the photos, in that time when the sun is high, because in fact at the end of the day still fells better to wear hot sweaters, big coats and boots. This is how it is, and until it's really spring it will continue to be like this, so it's normal to repeat looks, such as this one, that I used at the company's Christmas dinner but had not photographed yet. In fact I was in fault, this dress came from Black Friday. I found it at Mango Outlet and it's really cute! I love wearing it like that, with a shirt underneath and ready, it's the look done! PT Fashion shows

Segundo e último post sobre o último Portugal Fashion. Comecei da melhor maneira, a mostrar-vos a Margarida, passei depois pelo meu desfile preferido desta edição, o de Miguel Vieira, mas não podia deixar de falar aqui de outros quatro desfiles que me encheram as medidas. Digam-me lá de qual gostam mais!

Second and last post about the last Portugal Fashion. I started in the best way, showing you Margarida, I went after to my favorite parade of this edition, Miguel Vieira, but I could not stop talking about four other parades that filled me up. Tell me which one you like most!

Katty Xiomara

O desfile de Katty Xiomara foi outro dos meus preferidos. Confesso que apesar de gostar sempre, a estética é bem mais feminina do que aquilo que costumo usar, só que desta vez eu podia usar muito mais do que o habitual. Mas comecemos pelo início. Com uma colecção inspirada no abstraccionismo e cubismo, num cenário a condizer, não faltaram traços e figuras geométricas. Seguindo esta lógica, as cores são fortes, entre rosas, laranjas, azuis e pretos, tudo assente numa diversidade de materiais e texturas, desde sedas a fazenda. E porque os detalhes fazem mesmo toda a diferença, esta foi das maquilhagens mais giras que vi na passerelle, a fazer lembrar salpicos de tinta! Conseguem ver?

Katty Xiomara's parade was another of my favorites. I confess that although I always like it, the aesthetic is much more feminine than what I use, but this time I could use much more than usual. But let's start at the beginning. With a collection inspired by abstractionism and cubism, in a setting who matched it, there were traces and geometric figures. Following this logic, the colors are strong, among roses, oranges, blue and black, all based on a diversity of materials and textures, from silks to farm. And because the details really make all the difference, this was one of the most touring make-up I saw on the passerelle, which reminds me of ink splatters! Can you see?

Hugo Costa

Ao longo das últimas edições tenho prestado atenção às propostas de Hugo Costa, gosto sempre imenso, e nesta edição não foi diferente. A colecção (A)Way of Punk é inspirada no conceito punk, mas não necessariamente na sua estética. Confusos? Eu explico. A ideia passou por pegar em elementos do vestuário clássicos e costumizá-los, questionando a forma de usar determinada peça. Quase como “imaginar um adolescente a pegar numa peça do pai — num fato ou numas calças clássicas — e costumizá-la, transformá-la em algo seu”. O resultado são coordenados irregulares, com camisas cortadas, blazers desconstruídos (que eu AMEI), bainhas descosidas, e claro muito oversized. Tudo numa combinação de cores fortes, deixando passar uma mensagem de auto-afirmação e força. Bem street! Gostei tanto!!!!

Throughout the last editions I have been paying attention to the proposals of Hugo Costa, I always like immense, and in this edition was not different. The (A)Way of Punk collection is inspired by the punk concept, but not necessarily its aesthetic. Confused? I explain. The idea was to pick up classic clothing elements and customize them, questioning how to use a particular piece. Almost like "imagining a teenager picking on a father's piece - in a suit or in classic pants - and customizing it, make it his own". The result is irregular coordinates, with cut shirts, deconstructed blazers (which I LOVED), stripped sheaths, and of course very oversized. All in a combination of strong colors, letting go a message of self-affirmation and strength. Well done! I liked it so much!!!!

Luís Buchinho

"Night Ride" é o nome da colecção que Buchinho nos apresentou. Com inspiração no filme “Blade Runner”, esta colecção tem uma vibe futurista mas também nos remete para os anos 80. Não faltaram padrões gráficos, assimetrias, recortes, volumes, micro saias, e claro, óculos bem marcantes. A imagem que se quer passar é de uma mulher forte, confiante e afirmativa, como que uma super heroína. O preto reinou, mas há espaço para outras cores fortes, quase néon, como os laranjas e azuis, sem esquecer os tons cinza e verde tropa que caracterizam as grandes metrópoles, porque sim, “Se semicerrarmos os olhos acabamos por ver as luzes dos carros e os neons capturados através dos estampados. Uma paisagem urbana desfocada, fotografada ao longe”. Adorei!!

"Night Ride" is the name of the collection that Buchinho presented to us. Inspired on "Blade Runner" film, this collection has a futuristic vibe but also refers us to the 80's. There are no lack of graphic standards, asymmetries, cutouts, volumes, micro skirts, and of course, eyeglasses. The image he want to pass on is a strong, confident and affirmative woman, like a super heroine. Black has reigned, but there is place for other strong colors, almost neon, like oranges and blues, not to mention the gray and green troop tones that characterize the big metropolis, because yes, "If we squint our eyes we finally see the lights of the cars and the neons captured through the prints. A blurred urban landscape, photographed in the distance". I loved it!!

Diogo Miranda

Diogo Miranda é outro dos meus queridinhos. Desta vez coube-lhe a ele o último desfile desta edição, mas isso não foi motivo para começar fora de horas! E eu que detesto atrasos, adorei!

A inspiração para a colecção do próximo Outono/Inverno veio de um dos muitos cristais que compõem o candelabro que tem no atelier. Essa inspiração é notória nas saias assimétricas, nas rachas acentuadas das mesmas, nos decotes profundos, nos ombros marcados e folhos. Como já seria de esperar apresentou-nos uma mulher ousada, elegante e urbana, sempre numa paleta de cores sóbrias, onde predominam o rosa nude, cinzas, pretos e azul petróleo. Os brilhos não faltaram, mas sempre subtis e associados ao movimento das peças, não fosse a inspiração um cristal!

Diogo Miranda is another of my darlings. This time it was up to him the last parade of this edition, but that was no reason to start after hours! And for me that hate delays, I love it!

The inspiration for the collection next autumn/winter came from one of the many crystals that make up the chandelier that he has in the atelier. This inspiration is evident in the asymmetrical skirts, the sharp splits of them, the deep necklines, the marked shoulders and ruffles. As expected he wants a bold, elegant and urban woman, always in a sober color palette, where nude pink, gray, black and oil blue predominate. The sparkles were not lacking, but always subtle and associated with the movement of the pieces, cause the inspiration is a crystal!

Miguel Vieira

Consegui finalmente arranjar tempo para pesquisar sobre as colecções e compilar em imagens os meus looks preferidos dos desfiles que vi no Portugal Fashion. Confesso que o tempo que tenho disponível para o blog não tem sido muito, mas analisar as coisas assim já com alguma distância também me agrada. E eu adoro pesquisar sobre o processo criativo e saber de tudo o que levou ao resultado final! Por isso hoje venho mostrar-vos os looks daquele que foi o meu desfile preferido desta edição.
Miguel Vieira é quase um clássico, acho impossível não haver ali no mínimo uma peça que se queira ter no armário, mas desta vez superou! Gostei de tantos mas tantos coordenados! A colecção tem inspiração no rock & rol – adorei – sem esquecer a elegância que caracteriza a marca. Por isso mesmo o preto reinou, com apontamentos dourados e verde seco. Há cortes clássicos, a lembrar a alfaiataria, elegância nos materiais, mas muita desconstrução também. As silhuetas são, tanto para homem como mulher, esguias, as cinturas bem marcadas, mas tudo isto a contrastar com os ombros volumosos e os cortes oversized dos casacos. Por fim os acessórios a fazer toda a diferença. Mochilas, malas de usar à cintura ou funny packs (que são super tendência) e chapéus permitiram um styling incrível! Quero tudo sim?!

I finally managed to find time to research about the collections and compile in images my favorite looks from the parades I saw at Portugal Fashion. I confess that the time I have available for the blog has not been much, but analyzing things like this with some distance also pleases me. And I love researching about the creative process and knowing everything that led to the end result! So today I come to show you the looks of the one that was my favorite parade of this edition.
Miguel Vieira is almost a classic, I think it's impossible not to have at least one piece that you want to have in the closet, but this time he was magnificent! I liked so many but so many coordinates! The collection is inspired by rock & roll - I loved it - without forgetting the elegance that characterizes the brand. That's why black reigned, with notes of golden and dry green. There are classic cuts, to remind tailoring, elegance in materials, but a lot of deconstruction as well. The silhouettes are, for both man and woman, slender, well-marked waists, but all this contrasts with the voluminous shoulders and oversized cuts of the coats. Finally the accessories make all the difference. Backpacks, waist bags or funny packs (which are super trend) and hats have allowed an incredible styling! I want everything, yes?

Jo's Co #11

Back on track com o Jo's Co deste mês. Eu já vos tinha dito que este era especial, e porquê? Porque hoje venho apresentar-vos a Margarida. E em que é que a ela é diferente de todas as pessoas que já vos apresentei até agora? Perguntam vocês. Bem, a Margarida é a primeira seguidora do blog que protagoniza a rubrica de pessoas inspiradoras que me cercam. Seguimo-nos há anos, e começamos a falar com mais frequência desde o final do verão de 2015, quando no regresso das férias parei em Campo Maior para a Festa das Flores. Quase nos encontramos por lá! A Margarida vive no Alentejo e tal como eu, mesmo não trabalhando na área, adora moda. Acho que conseguem perceber, right? Mais uma coisa em comum, um dos seus designer favoritos é Diogo Miranda! E foi justamente por causa do desfile dele no Portugal Fashion que este encontro se proporcionou. Adoro o estilo arrojado da Margarida, que se fez acompanhar da prima, também ela super fashion (Rita, da próxima vez que nos encontrarmos fotografo-te a ti). Com uma vibe super street, nada casual e muito cool, acho que tínhamos aqui uma blogger de mão cheia! Não acham?

Back on track with Jo's Co this month. I had already told you that this was special, and why? Because today I begin to introduce you to Margarida. And how is it different from all the people I presented you in the past? You ask. Well, Margarida is the first follower of the blog that stars in the category of inspiring people that surround me. We have been following each other for years, and we have started talking more often since the end of the summer of 2015, when on my return from the holidays I stopped at Campo Maior for the Flower Festival. We almost met there! Margarida lives in Alentejo and just as I do, even though I don't work in the area, she loves fashion. I think you can figure it out, right? One more thing in common, one of his favorite designers is Diogo Miranda! And it was precisely because of his parade in Portugal Fashion that this meeting was provided. I love the bold style of her, who was accompanied by her cousin, also she is super fashion (Rita, next time we meet, I'll photograph you). With a super street vibe, nothing casual and very cool, I think we had a full-fledged blogger here! Don't you think?

PT Fashion

Primeiro post sobre o Portugal Fashion aqui no blog. Nesta 42ª edição, depois do já habitual primeiro dia de desfiles em Lisboa, os designers fizeram do Parque da Cidade do Porto o palco para mostrar as suas propostas para o Outono/Inverno 18/19. A ideia era criar uma cidade da moda e tenho a dizer-vos que gostei imenso do resultado final. Claro que estávamos numa tenda e o tempo lá fora não era o mais simpático, mas só o facto de conseguir estacionamento com facilidade no recinto do evento para mim já vale ouro!
Nesta edição, pela primeira vez em anos, consegui a credencial de blogger! Fiquei mesmo feliz com isto, vocês nem imaginam! Ia conseguir assistir a todos os desfiles e melhor, entrar no backstage e perceber melhor a orgânica do evento. Por isso mesmo as fotos que se seguem são quase todas de lá, do sítio onde tudo se alinha. Eu já sabia que o frenesim devia ser a palavra de ordem, mas adorei conseguir ver tudo aquilo ali, no momento.
Nas próximas publicações vou mostrar-vos os coordenados que mais gostei dos meus desfiles preferidos, mas não sem antes partilhar o Jo's Co deste mês, mega especial! Fiquem ligados!!

First post about Portugal Fashion here on the blog. In this 42ª edition, after the usual firts day of shows in Lisbon, designers take control of the city park of Porto and that was the stage to show their proposals for Fall/Winter 18/19. The idea was to create a fashion city and I really enjoying the end result. Of course this was a tent and the weather outside that were no longer nice, but the fact that you can park easily on the event enclosure is the same as gold for me!
In this issue, for the first time in years, I got a blogger credential! I was so happy with this, you can't even imagine! I could watching all the shows I want and even better, go to the backstage and know better the organic of the event. So, almost all the photos in this post were taken there, where everything lines up. I known that the frenzy should be the order word, but I loved to seeing all that, in the moment.
In the next publications I'll show you my favourite looks from the shows I loved most, but not without before share the Jo's Co of this month. It's a special one! Stay tuned!!
