PT Fashion shows

Passou uma semana do último Portugal Fashion e finalmente estou a conseguir partilhar aqui algo sobre o evento. Não assisti a todos os desfiles, mas esta edição foi recheada! E corrida! Muito corrida... Mas vamos ao que interessa, tenho imensos coordenados que quero mostrar-vos aqui, por isso, além deste post haverão mais. Stay tuned!

A week has passed since last Portugal Fashion and I'm finally able to share something here about the event. I didn't watch all the parades, but this edition was full of good proposals! And race! A lot... But let's go to what matters, I have a lot of coordinates that I want to show you here, so in addition to this post there will be more. Stay tuned!

Diogo Miranda

É inevitável não começar com Diogo Miranda. Desde há muitas edições que este está no meu top 3 de desfiles preferidos, e esta edição não foi diferente.

Desta vez a inspiração partiu do mundo da fotografia, mais propriamente do fotógrafo Irvin Penn, e de uma mulher feminina e dramática, bem ao estilo a que o criador já nos acostumou. Assim sendo não faltaram as rachas pronunciadas, cinturas marcadas, cortes assimétricos, tecidos estruturados e peças com volume. O típico look de cocktail arrojado mas sem ser vulgar. A-DO-RO!!!

It 's inevitable not to start with Diogo Miranda. Since many editions this is in my top 3 of favorite parades, and this edition was no different.

This time the inspiration came from the world of photography, more precisely from the photographer Irvin Penn, and from a feminine and dramatic woman, near to the style that the creator has already accustomed us to. Thus, pronounced slits, marked waists, asymmetrical cuts, structured fabrics and pieces with volume were not lacking. The typical dashing but not vulgar cocktail look. LOVE!!!

Alves/Gonçalves

Nunca tinha assistido a um desfile desta dupla, estava empolgada mas ainda não foi desta... No entanto, depois de ver algumas das propostas apresentadas, tinha de os inserir nestes posts. As cinturas marcadas e os folhos, os prints nipónicos (que não evidenciei aqui) e as texturas conferem às silhuetas um ar feminino e arrojado. Predominaram aqui os pretos, azuis, brancos e vermelhos, que no conjunto reflectem uma nova geração e a sua visão da moda, de uma forma diferente e disruptiva.

I had never seen a parade of this pair, I was excited but it was not this year yet... However, after seeing some of the proposals presented, I had to insert them in these posts. The marked waistlines and frills, the Japanese prints (which I didn't show here) and the textures give the silhouettes a feminine and bold air. Black, blue, white and red predominated here, which together reflect a new generation and their vision of fashion in a different and disruptive way.

Luís Buchinho

Que a inspiração pode vir de qualquer lugar já sabemos, é cliché, certo, e Buchinho é prova disso mesmo. Esta colecção tem inspiração nas gravuras Gyotaku, uma técnica tradicional japonesa que consiste na pintura e impressão dos peixes que os pescadores pescavam com tinta em folhas de arroz, de modo a apresenta-las como troféus. Foi daqui que surgiram as estampas vistas nesta colecção, e o efeito brilhante e metálico que faz lembrar escamas de peixes. O efeito foi conseguido recorrendo a tecidos que têm uma base recorrente, como o algodão, sedas e malhas enrugados, plissados ou no seu estado natural com impressões de foil e de películas.

That inspiration can come from anywhere we know, it's cliché, right, and Buchinho is proof of that. This collection is inspired by the Gyotaku engraving, a traditional Japanese technique consisting of the painting and printing of the fish that the fishermen fished with paint on rice leaves, in order to present them as trophies. From here came the prints seen in this collection, and the shiny metallic effect that reminds fish scales. The effect was achieved by using tissues that have a recurring base, such as cotton, silks and wrinkled, pleated or in their natural state with foil and film prints.

Carlos Gil

Sem que haja espaço para dúvidas, a inspiração para esta colecção foi mesmo a aguarela! As pinceladas transformadas em padrão e as cores não me deixam mentir. Esta que sempre foi uma paixão de Carlos Gil materializou-se em silhuetas ultra femininas, algo já característico do criador, com base em tecidos fluidos, leves e delicados como a seda, organza e crepe. Tudo isto com uma paleta de cores vibrantes, sem esquecer a sensualidade nos cortes, o tailoring, os casacos mais técnicos e uma grande tendência do momento, os calções de ciclista.

Without any space for doubt, the inspiration for this collection was the watercolor! The brushstrokes transformed into pattern and the colors don't let me lie. This one that was always a Carlo's passion materialized in ultra feminine silhouettes, something already characteristic of the creator, based on fluids, light and delicate fabrics like silk, organza and crepe. All this with a palette of vibrant colors, not forgetting the sensuality in the cuts, the tailoring, the more technical coats and a great trend of the moment, the cycling shorts.

All snake

Yeah, I'm back!! E como vos disse no último post, aqui fica o primeiro look com as calças e blazer que comprei em estampado pele de cobra.Vocês não estão a entender a quantidade de vezes que já usei estas peças, juntas e separadamente. Gosto imenso deste padrão, e como tem estado calor aproveito o facto das calças serem bem fresquinhas para usar sem parar! Aqui combinei as duas peças com um top básico preto e umas sandálias de duas tiras, mas fica lindamente com branco também, com jeans e sapatilhas.
Entretanto, na última ida ao shopping, entre as lojas de decoração e bricolage sobrou tempo para espreitar a Zara. Não consegui ainda fazer a minha habitual wishlist e confesso que não gosto de ir às lojas sem saber já o que posso encontrar por lá (demasiada informação), mas é notória a presença de tons terra e estampados animais! Cobra e leopardo são mesmo os reis da selva, por isso apostem nestes padrões e cores, conjuguem com outros tons neutros em peças mais básicas e vão estar no ponto!!

Yeah, I'm back!! And as I told you in the last post, here is the first look with the pants and blazer that I bought in snakeskin print. You aren't understanding how many times I have used these pieces together and separately. I like this pattern immensely, and as it has been hot I use the fact that the pants are very fresh to use without stopping! Here I combined the two pieces with a black basic top and two-strip sandals, but it's beautiful also with white, with jeans and sneakers.
However, on the last trip to the mall, there was plenty of time to stare at Zara between the decoration and DIY stores. I haven't been able to make my usual wishlist yet, and I confess that I don't like to go to the shops without knowing what I can find there (too much information), but it's notorious the presence of earth tones and animal prints! Snake and leopard are even the kings of the jungle, so bet on these patterns and colors, conjugate with other neutral tones in more basic pieces and you will be in point!!

Snake print
Há tendências que surgem directamente das passerelles das principais semanas de moda, e outras que ganham força na rua, naquilo que acabam por ser as escolhas de quem se senta para assistir aos desfiles. Estamos quase a terminar um desses ciclos de shows nas capitais da moda, NY, Londres, Milão e Paris, e se há tendência que salta à vista no street style é o animal print. E em que é que vocês pensam logo quando se fala em estampado animal? Leopardo, claro está. Sem que o leopardo deixe de ser tendência, o maior protagonista desta vez é o estampado cobra. Tal como qualquer estampado animal, acho que combina na perfeição com outras peças de tons neutros e lisas, sim, a não ser que sejam experts na mistura de padrões, mas convenhamos que não é qualquer um que consegue essa proeza. Já tinha uma t-shirt com este estampado há anos, e nunca deixei de gostar dela. Deixou de ser a única peça com este print no armário quando lhe juntei um fato com este padrão. Adoro-o!!! Acho que vão ver alguns looks por aqui com ele!

We are about to finish one of these shows in the fashion capitals, NY, London, Milan and Paris, and if there is a tendency that jumps in the street style is the animal print. And what do you guys think about when it comes to animal print? Leopard, of course. Without the leopard stop being a trend, the main protagonist this time is the snake print. Like any animal print, I think it fits neatly with other pieces of neutral and smooth tones, yes, unless you're an expert in pattern mixing, but let's face it, it's not anyone who gets that feat. I already had a t-shirt with this print for years, and I never stopped liking it. It ceased to be the only piece with this print in the closet when I bought a balzer and pant suit with this pattern. Jo's Co #16

Lembram-se de vos ter falado aqui que nas férias apanhei muito sol, na esperança de deixar de ser a filha adoptada da família? Ahahahahah, bem, agora estão a entender porquê. Olhem bem para a minha irmã e para este bronze!! Acho que foi o verão em que ela ficou mais morena, e eu menos... E já que falamos em verão deixem-me dizer-vos que esta rubrica não aconteceu no mês passado porque estava meio mundo de férias quando eu ainda estava a trabalhar. Resumindo, fiquei sem gente gira para fotografar... Mas hoje compenso! Eu sei que já é outono mas o termómetro não nos faz acreditar em nada disso. Por isso, e porque os próximos dias vão ser bem quentes também, segue o look da Marta para vos servir de inspiração, bem descomplicado, cool e colorido, como se quer em dias de calor! Podem trocar os calções por uns jeans ou umas calças de tecido mais frescas, ou até mesmo uma saia comprida, e estão prontas para o trabalho! Espero que gostem!!

Take a look at my sister and this taned skin!! I think it was the summer that she got most taned, and me less... And since we're talking about summer let me tell you that this rubric didn't happen last month because there was half a world on vacation when I was still working. In short, I was without beautiful people to photograph... But today I compensate! I know it's autumn but the thermometer doesn't make us believe any of this. Slow down

Estamos na última semana do verão e por aqui o tempo continua bem bom. Claro que não está mais tanto calor como em Agosto, mas ainda consigo andar de camisolas e tops de alças, t-shirts, vestidos e saias. Num ou noutro dia lá precisei de um blazer ou quimono de manhã cedinho ou de noite, mas ainda está calor. E o que é que eu quero com este paleio todo? Não, não é conversa de circunstância vir aqui falar do tempo. Só me chateia um bocado ver imensa gente já cheia de frio e em colecções de outono dos pés à cabeça quando ainda temos muitos dias com máximas perto dos 30º!! Really!!! Eu já dei uma olhada nas novas colecções e já me apetece o frio para vestir-me em layers, cores mais escuras, malhas, mas calma... O chinelo no pé e a sandália ainda estão mais do que permitidos! Porque já andam de botas, camisolas com gola e manga comprida, casacos de couro... se está tanto calor? Estamos em Setembro, ainda está bom tempo, não andem por aí cheias de roupa da nova colecção, qual vitrina da Zara, quando o verão não virou costas ainda! Não gosto deste corrupio que algumas influencers e celebridades imprimem na moda, parece que estão sempre à espera da nova tendência, usam sem pensar, até à exaustão, até enjoar e já não conseguirmos ver mais aquela peça na frente, mesmo que ainda estejam 25º vestem o casaco de pelo, querem sempre ser as primeiras, as pioneiras, as vanguardistas daquela tendência, mas depois acaba por ficar tudo meio descontextualizado e irreal, ou acham que faz sentido andar de gola alta com umas botas acima do joelho agora? O que vão vestir quando estiver a cair neve? Não sei, mas não me agrada esta pressa toda. Pronto, era isto, estava a precisar desabafar! Enquanto isso, e até o frio voltar (e eu quero que volte), podem contar com coisas assim, mais frescas!

We're in the last week of summer and the weather here still very good. Of course it's not as hot as August, but I still can wear sweaters and tank tops, t-shirts, dresses and skirts. On one day or another I needed a blazer or kimono in the early morning or at night, but it's still hot. And what do I want with this whole talk? No, it's not a talk of circumstance to come here to talk about weather. It only annoys me a lot to see immense people already full of cold and in autumn collections from head to toe when we still have many days with maximums near the 30 degrees!! Really!!! I've already taken a look at the new collections and I want colder days to dress in layers, darker colors, knits, but calm... The sandals on the foot are more than allowed yet! Why are so many people using boots, sweaters with a collar and long sleeves, leather coats... if it's so hot? It's September, it's still good weather, don't walk around full of clothes from the new collection, like Zara's showcase, when summer hasn't turned back yet! I don't like this rush that some influencers and celebrities print in fashion, it seems that they are always waiting for the new trend, they use without thinking, until exhaustion, until we get sick and we can no longer see that piece in front of our eyes, even if it's 25 degrees they wear the fur coat, always want to be the first, the pioneers, the avant-garde of that trend, but then it turns out to be all decontextualized and unreal, or do you think it makes sense to walk in a turtleneck with boots above the knee now? What will they wear when snow is falling? I don't know, but I don't like this whole hurry. There it was, I needed to vent! Meanwhile, and until the cold comes back (and I want it to come), you can count with fresh outfits like this!

New in!

E antes de vos mostrar mais looks tenho de vos mostrar as minhas últimas aquisições. Duas das coisas que recebi pelo meu aniversário, algumas peças ainda dos saldos e um conjunto que comprei há dias.

Comecemos pelo que recebi no aniversário. Sabem quando as pessoas já vos conhecem tão bem que vos oferecem prendas que vocês vão amar?! Foi exatamente o que aconteceu aqui. Recebi estas sandálias deusas da coleção das manas Jenner, e esta t-shirt branca com lantejoulas. Vocês não estão bem a ver o quanto gostei disto, sério!!!!

Dos saldos vieram ainda o vestido preto, que aliás já viram no posto do Little Black Dress (em conjunto com as sandálias). Acho sinceramente que foi uma excelente aquisição e que vai ficar no armário por anos, pelo corte que é clássico, e pela cor, claro! Outra coisa que não vai sair de cena são estas Bimba Y Lola que encontrei a 50%. Sandálias rasteiras de tiras ficam sempre bem, e apesar de não as terem visto por cá acreditem que já as usei muitas vezes, são lindas!!!! Entretanto, encontrei também esta camisola de malha com tachas na Mango, que foi um achado daqueles, e as jeans cinza escuras da Tiffosi. Ando muito in love com calças com faixas na lateral. Na verdade este gosto não é novo, sempre gostei de looks com uma vibe mais desportiva e estas riscas laterais são um excelente apontamento para nos ajudaram a conseguir isso. Acho que vou usar imenso estas duas últimas peças na próxima estação, os saldos são sempre bons para comprar roupa para a estação seguinte, anotem a dica!

Novo também é o vestido do último post, que não fotografei para aqui. Comprei-o numa feira, tem uma textura tipo linho, botões de madeira e fez imenso furor pelo insta. Custou-me apenas 5€, acreditam? Já não me lembrava de ir a feiras e encontrar coisas tão giras!

E por fim, também comprado numa feira, o conjunto de calça e blazer tipo quimono com o estampado do momento, mas sobre isso vou falar melhor no próximo “Trend Alert!”. Fiquem ligados que depois dele há look com este conjunto!

And before I show you more looks I have to show you my latest purchases. Two of the things I received for my birthday, some pieces still from the balances and a set I bought days ago.

Let's start with what I got for my birthday. Do you know when people already know you so well that they offer you gifts that you will love?! That's exactly what happened here. I got these goddess sandals from the Jenner's sisters collection, and this white t-shirt with sequins. You're not sure how much I enjoyed this, seriously!!!!

Out of the balances came the black dress, which you have already seen at the Little Black Dress post (along with the sandals). I honestly think it was an excellent acquisition and it will stay in the closet for years, by the cut that is classic, and by color, of course! Another thing that will not leave the scene are these Bimba Y Lola that I found at 50%. Strappy sandals are always good, and although you have not seen them around here believe me that I have used them many times, they are beautiful!!!! However, I also found this knit sweater with tacks on Mango, which was a find of, and the dark gray jeans from Tiffosi. I'm in love with pants with stripes on the side. In fact this taste is not new, I always liked looks with a more sporty vibe and these side stripes are a great way to help us achieve this. I think I'm going to use these two last pieces immensely next season, the balances are always good to buy clothes for the next season, write down the tip!

New is also the dress of the last post, which I have not photographed here. I bought it at a fair, it has a linen texture, wooden buttons and made immense sucess on intsgram. It cost me only 5€, do you belive? I no longer remember going to the fairs and finding things so cute!

And lastly, also bought at a fair, the set of kimono/blazer and pants with the print of the moment, but on this I'll speak better on the next "Trend Alert!". Stay connected, after him there is a look with this set!

Vacation mode

Estou de volta ao trabalho, aos treinos e aos posts aqui no blog. Setembro é mais do que qualquer outro mês o mês dos recomeços, uma espécie de Janeiro já com gostinho a missão cumprida. Sim, porque não vamos desvalorizar tudo o que já conseguimos desde o início do ano até agora! E isto agrada-me, gosto de recomeços, de voltar à definição das prioridades, de voltar ao foco. O descanso é bom mas voltar em força é melhor ainda!! Ainda assim estava difícil alinhar os planetas e vir cá partilhar este look que fotografei nas férias. Foi o único que fotografei, estive pouco mais do que uma semana a sul e como me cansei de parecer a filha adoptada da família, qual floco de neve eu estava, aproveitei o sol. Não se nota muito porque não posso deixar no saco o protector solar de jeito nenhum, continuo a parecer adoptada, mas ok, descansei muito, li muito, levei roupa de treino mas só corri um dia e comi imenso gelado. Bolas de berlim foram nulas, não é coisa que eu adore... E da mala de roupa que levei nem metade vesti (toma nota Jo, para o ano meia mala chega!). Estou cada vez mais zen, mais less, e este vestidinho é tudo isso. Simples, descomplicado e lindo! Se vos disser que só custou 5€ acreditam?

I'm back to work, training and posts here on the blog. September is more than any other month the month of the beginnings, a kind of January already with taste of mission fulfilled. Yes, because we won't devalue everything we have already achieved since the beginning of the year so far! And this pleases me, I like to start again, to return to the definition of priorities, to return to focus. The rest is good but back in strength is even better!! Still it was difficult to align the planets and come here to share this look I photographed on vacation. It was the only one I photographed, I was little more than a week at south and as I tired of looking like the adopted daughter of the family, what snowflake I was, I enjoyed the sun. It's not very noticeable because I can't leave the sunscreen in any way, I continue to seem adopted, but okay, I rested a lot, I read a lot, I took training clothes but I only ran one day and ate lots of ice cream. Berlin balls were nil, it's not something I adore... And the suitcase I took not even half I dressed (notes Jo, for the next year half suitcase is enough!). I'm getting more zen, more less, and this dress is all that. Simple, uncomplicated and beautiful! If I tell you that it only cost 5€, do you believe?
